First Reconciliation: 7:00pm, Wednesday 6th April 2022
First Holy Communion: 9:30am, Sunday 19th June 2022
Both Sacraments are held at St James Forest Lodge.
As a further commitment to Baptism:
In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we encounter our Risen Lord who offers us His forgiveness and His love.
In the Sacrament of First Holy Communion, we receive the consecrated bread and wine, showing a commitment to being in communion with God. The body and blood of Christ reminds us of how Jesus gave His life for us and how He wants us to grow in His image and likeness.
Preparation for these Sacraments
The preparation for these Sacraments, is done as a communal effort between the family, St James Catholic Parish and St James Catholic School. Parents, as primary teachers of the faith, are strongly encouraged to work with their children by using resources provided and by discussing the sacraments at home.
Children will be provided with a sacramental activity book. The cost of this book and certificate for both sacraments is $50.00.
The activity books will be distributed at the first preparation session and will be required for all sessions.
